QCT is headquartered in Taoyuan, Taiwan, with two offices in the United States (San Jose, Calif.; Seattle, Wash.); two in China (Beijing and Hangzhou); and one in Tokyo, Japan.

QCT has more than 1,000 employees worldwide, including engineering, architecting, sales & marketing, fulfillment and service.

Parent Company

The QCT parent company is Quanta Computer Inc. (Quanta), a Fortune Global 500 company with more than 100,000 employees located at engineering, manufacturing and services facilities worldwide.

Quanta Computer Inc. (Quanta) established its Enterprise Solution Business Unit (ESBU) in 2000 and reorganized it as the Cloud Computing Business Unit (CCBU) in 2010. At the time, a significant portion of CCBU revenues were derived from original design manufacturing (ODM), but the direct sale portion of the business quickly grew. As a result, in May of 2012 QCT was launched under the name Quanta Cloud Technology as a subsidiary of Quanta Computer Inc. to offer a full spectrum of off-the-shelf products and services directly to cloud service providers, enterprises and SMBs. Thus, QCT effectively inherited the Quanta hyperscale “DNA” and its 14-year heritage of leadership within the datacenter hardware space. Moreover, Quanta provides a range of capabilities to QCT, including engineering, manufacturing, distribution, supply chain support and rack assembly through the Quanta global network.

President / Leadership

Mike Yang is the president of QCT and senior vice president and general manager of the CCBU at Quanta Computer Inc. (Quanta).

Product Lines

1U/2U/4U general-purpose servers, multi-node high-density servers, and 4-way high-end business critical servers for applications such as HPC, virtualization, big data analytics, distributed computing, and various cloud services.

High-density converged storage systems and JBOD/JBOF systems optimized for various storage architectures and a range of I/O performance requirements.

Rack System

Rackgo X is a rack solution that integrates QCT servers, storage and top-of-rack switches inspired by Open Compute Project (OCP) standards. Designed for low CAPEX & OPEX with simplicity, scalability, serviceability, manageability, and high density, Rackgo X features the highest level of efficiency required by hyperscale datacenters.

Rackgo M is a rack solution based on the Open CloudServer version 2 (OCS v2) standard contributed to the Open Compute Project (OCP) by Microsoft. It is an innovative solution offering performance, density, availability, flexibility, scalability, and ease of use/deployment. Highly optimized with a unified, flexible design, Rackgo M offers superior performance with minimized TCO for cloud-scale datacenters that provide a diverse range of cloud services and/or deploy services in global datacenters with different infrastructure requirements.

Emerging trends such as cloud computing, big data and parallel calculation redefine the network infrastructure from three layers (core, aggregation and access) to two layers (spine and leaf). The QuantaMesh Ethernet switch product lineup of QCT is designed for two-layer architecture in modern datacenters. It features low latency, low power consumption, and high port density and offers various speed options from 1G, 10G/40G to 25G/100G.

It also offers a wide range of software support, including virtualization, L3 fabric, OpenFlow-based SDN and ONIE/ONL. The integrated management interface provides unified control and provision plane to the rack scale solution.

Hyperscale engineering excellence is in the QCT “DNA.” With a deep understanding of different cloud workloads, systems integration and optimization experiences, QCT offers the most efficient, innovative, scalable and easy to deploy hardware to meet demand of different scales of datacenters.

QCT product lines use standard and open hardware, so customers are never locked into proprietary hardware, firmware and management software.

Our cloud infrastructure and big data solutions will range and scale from a single server to rack level, all with software pre-installed, pre-racked and pre-cabled, well verified, integrated, and optimized on our most efficient hardware platforms, easy for datacenters to deploy.

Regarding the Brand

The advent of the Internet has radically shaped the way the world learns, works and plays. Yet we must never forget that behind the awe-inspiring benefits of information technology, there exists a solid, perfectly engineered symphony of hardware.

Every massively open online course that teaches mathematics to a child in Africa is made possible by a cloud datacenter. Every mobile app that connects a business traveler to his family a continent away is run through cloud infrastructure. Every social media platform that connects like-minded individuals worldwide is orchestrated through cloud hardware.

It might sound like magic, but it’s all made possible by market-leading engineering talent, delivered by QCT.

The cloud as a metaphor is a powerful symbol of a new frontier in computing services, and QCT is at the center of this once-in-a-generation transformation.

Cloud infrastructure is heavily reliant on highly engineered and reliable systems, which in turn depend on sophisticated technical skills. Talents in cloud architecture, system integration, optimization, and application workload management are each critical. Members of the QCT team know this because we power the world’s most hyperscale cloud workloads.

Of course, it wasn’t always like that. In fact, not too long ago we were just an ODM server manufacturer. Clouds were distant entities we looked up in the skies, not what we built in our factories.

That all changed in 2010 when we decided cloud technology was where our future lay. Since then, we’ve never looked back. In a few short years, we’ve become the largest cloud enabler in the world – designing, manufacturing and delivering servers, storage, network switches and rack systems for the world’s largest cloud datacenters.

QCT is the only resource for companies that want to deploy cloud hardware, software and services backed by the most extensive, in-depth catalog of cloud engineering expertise available.

QCT surged to become the market leader in our industry through the sheer mastery of cloud technology. QCT will accelerate our market lead, empowering our customers to continue transforming the way all of us learn, work, and play, all through the magic of cloud technology.

Think of the magic we can perform for your business.

The next time you think about the cloud, imagine the sophisticated system of hardware running it. Chances are, we’ve made them. And there’s one system waiting just for you.

Introducing the QCT logo

The concept when designing the new logo was to have direct visual connection to our core business – cloud technology. The design is simple, clean, and easily recognizable while it communicates the QCT commitment to provide efficient and easy-to-deploy products. The logo emphasizes the QCT product lines and integrated systems focus with individually colored squares to represent each product line.

Light blue represents servers, orange represents storage, while green represents networking, and dark blue represents rack systems. The cloud is consisted with the four colored squares which also illustrates QCT is the builder of cloud technology. QCT is the abbreviation of Quanta Cloud Technology. We offer complete lineup of datacenter products, providing advanced cloud hardware systems and optimized solutions that deliver hyperscale performance and efficiency to cloud datacenters worldwide.
